Abigail Johnston | Founder and Visionary
Hi, I’m Abigail, the founder of Precious Life Pod™. This mission is deeply personal to me. After
experiencing the heartbreak of miscarriage, I realized how few resources existed for women like
me—mom’s searching for a meaningful way to honor their baby’s life.
I created Precious Life Pod™ to fill that gap, inspired by my cousin and her need for resources
during her miscarriage that at the time I couldn’t find for her. And then almost one year later when
my husband Daniel and I experienced our own loss of Rowan Avery at 12 weeks. Daniel and I had
some resources at that time and were able to find and see our baby and take pictures that we
treasure to this day. God’s mercy and Rowan’s precious brief life remind me constantly that many
other moms and dads out there are in need of care and deserve answers to their desprate
questions. The desire to hold space for families to grieve with dignity and find healing through
hope is what drives our mission. Every product, every resource, every word of encouragement we
offer is rooted in that vision.
When I’m not working on Precious Life Pod™, I am discipling and homeschooling my two crazy kids
River and Oran who remind me constantly that laughter is the best medicine. I also write music
with my husband and bandmate, we are “Fox and the Phoenix”. I love tiny things, foraging and
making meals with what we find!
